I’m going to share as a content creator for Youtube or other social media platforms why you should consider repurposing your content

As a creator I know how long it takes to produce quality content. There is a lot of skill, gear, cost, and time that go into these videos. Consumers don’t appreciate what goes into creating content for a 5 minute video. You could be talking about thousands of dollars or more for a combined cost on gear, travel, and time just to create a video. That is why as a Youtuber, content creator, or as an entrepreneur you should consider repurposing your content for your channel.

Why

  1. Content is expensive to create.
  2. Content takes a long time to prepare, edit, and create
  3. You can repurpose or syndicate content once created
  4. Video content has proven is has a long shelf life

How

  1. Duplicate your video projects such as time saver
  2. Think of ideas to repackage your content (ie. Best of series)
  3. Download past videos from Youtube Creator Studio
  4. Repuposes the same music tracks
  5. Resize (auto-reframe) your youtube videos for other platforms like IGTV
  6. Trim down longer video for short form platforms like Tiktok
  7. Repurpose thumbnails

Watch the video to learn specifically in Premiere Pro how I created a 10 minute video best of Victoria Travel Video using new and old videos. I created a new video with all my best footage that combined probably took me days to created in under an hour.

It’s easy to get focused on producing new content al the time and that’s the trap that I fell into these past 10 years. Nice it’s time to focus on content distribution where you package your existing content to people that may not have seen it before.
